Giving

Accoring to Wikipedia, Philanthropy is the voluntary act of donating money or goods or providing some other support to a charitable cause, usually over an extended period of time. In a more fundamental sense, philanthropy may encompass any activity which is intended to enhance the common good or improve human well being. Someone who is well known for practicing philanthropy may sometimes be called a philanthropist. Although such individuals are often very wealthy, people may nevertheless perform philanthropic acts without possessing great wealth.

I've been on this earth less than 30 years, and if there is one thing that is true, it is Acts 20:35: "It is more blessed to give than to receive." Unfortunately, most people are quite happy to let other people get the blessing.

Gospel for Asia and The Global Fund seem to be very worthwhile causes. I have to do a bit more research on The Global Fund, but it's probably only a matter of time before I start to chip in there as well. Remember, people may nevertheless perform philanthropic acts without possessing great wealth.
